Following the first edition which took place one year ago, Aerospace Summer school is back with a new group of participants and challenges.

The program first and foremost was designed to stimulate minds, by associating knowledge with practicality and teach engineering students about the importance of resilience, facing problems and working on meaningful yet hard projects within their scope of study.

The atmosphere we try create for them at out headquarters is one of motivation, passion, unity, cheerful spirits and wonder by science.

We will be posting about their journey and ours as mentoring team, to try and paint the growth we all are going to experience together.

Aerospace Summer School Vol.2

Aerospace Summer School was created out of need, the need our engineering students express during their summer breaks when looking for internships, for opportunities, or for anyone to validate their paperwork regardless of the added value.

We offer students an extensive program of science along with the opportunity to work on a practical engineering project, which is the design and conception of unmanned prototype within the aeronautics field.

Amongst the proposed conferences:

  • Sciences, Techniques & Technologies Aérospatiales.
  • Aircraft Project Design.
  • Aircraft Performance Design
  • Small Unmanned Fixed-Wing Aircraft Design.
  • Intelligence Artificielle appliquée en aérospatiale.
  • Informatique Embarqué.
  • Gestion de projet.
  • Architecture matérielle et logicielle.
  • Innovation et Créativité.
  • Entrepreneuriat et Business Model.
  • Traitement d’image.
  • Maintenance Industrielle (Aéronautique & Automobile)
  • Evolution Technologique et Opérationnelle.
  • Le rôle de l’ingénieur dans le secteur aérospatial: Compétences & Attitudes.

Participants are awarded certifications at the end of the program.

CNES, will be investing in Space technology start-ups

The ‘CNES’ has officially created an investment fund ranging between 80-100 million Euros; dedicated to help start-ups specialized in satellites, launchers and new services.

This fund will intervene in the development phase of young European enterprises, with the objective to promote space technologies and their usage, notably favorazing its emergence to the marketplace.

ENSA MARRAKESH, when aerospace engineering captivates an entire audience

Aerospace engineering draws awe and amazement whenever the echoes of its history are narrated in front of an audience, a proven fact during our exchange with the students of ENSA-Marrakesh whose passion could be sensed all over the room.

During this encounter, the Moroccan Aerospace Institute team has had the chance to share with electrical engineers in the making their intake about the field, its challenges and the requirements of excellence it demands.

It was an inspiring display of youth dynamism which will only expand through our Aerospace Summer School.

The Engineer’s cross road

Being an engineer is no easy task, being a great one is even harder especially amidst the noise surrounding individuals and dreamers by their friends, professors and the job market.

Scientific alienation, meaning ending up performing monotonous tasks with little or no connection to your background is one of the heaviest burden a person may endure, as it leads to a decrease in energy, motivation, creativity, and has an overall negative impact on one’s life and in exchange of what? A paycheck.

Whatever your reasons, conditions and issues, never settle for mediocrity as the success of some of the great minds of contemporary society came from even harsher stories of tragedy and failure, and actually one of the traits of character they held dear during those periods is the ability to stand strong face to criticism, false opinions and bad advice.

Try it once in a while, we remain at your disposal if you have a project you want to defend.

Set your own path

Our lives are dictated by the choices we make and choices you will be forced to make, whether personally or professionally.

Decision making is about filtering the extrinsic noise coming from what others consider as the norm, about detaching yourself from negative influencers, about the ability to bear criticism and accept that no matter what you do, you won’t be able to please everybody PERIOD, about grit and perseverance, about never ever settling about anything less than we aspire to be.

If history taught us anything, is that people with the courage to speak their mind and follow in the footsteps of creating the world they have envisioned, end up doing just that.
Take risks and break the status quo, because as a wise man once said:
“The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do”

Five pillars of engineering

Engineering is a noble profession which withheld its importance over the span of time, for engineers had a hand in propelling civilizations into the next level over and over again.

To be a reliable engineer is no easy task, it takes a huge amount of time and effort to become an expert, it requires making mistakes so we could learn from them and above all, it is only possible as our will and grit allows us to be.

We cannot limit a specific meaning for what is engineering, but we may state what makes a good one in these five points which are:

Scientific background

Wide scope

Describing each one of these five layers in an article in itself, so we will let you think about them for the moment, since we will be developping them extensively in articles to come.

In the meantime, remember that the world shapes itself to the way you see it.

Rocket Lab crossed a milestone

Rocket Lab successfully deployed three satellites into orbit in less than nine minutes, as well as reducing the cost of such flights to five million dollars, an achievement worth mentioning indeed.

The company used its Electron rocket for the mission after failing their first launch due to lost communication with equipment on the ground, but managed to succeed during their next launch making a milestone success with plans to go forward with commercial missions, forgetting about their third planned launch.

The future of space flight is still at play …

Science and Engineering keep on shaping civilizations.

Konstantin Tsiolkovsky

When human imagination surpasses contemporary science.

Human imagination has proved throughout the ages to be limitless, as it remained indifferent to whatever social, scientific and technological situations during whatever era, and has pushed some of the leading minds in history to propel thoughts leading to progress beyond the barrier of time.

Tsiolkovsky is in fable imaged a world in which mankind lives in outer-space, thanks to the effort of some of the leading minds including Galileo, Newton and himself under the pseudonym of Ivanov, they described not only the practical aspects but also the feeling of amazement astronauts feels known as “The overview effect “.

Tsiolkovsky imaged what it would be like to live in orbit, explained how we would satisfy our physiological needs, how this experience would impact a social change to the better, how can we extract oxygen and minerals from meteors as well as harnessing the Sun’s energy for as long as we want.

Sure, he had some interesting theories and even though science later disproved some of them later, but he had the courage and insights to image what others couldn’t of dreamt of.

Be passionate and free in your thinking, for the world can be without boundaries  if you see it that way.
